4 guests · 2 bedroom · 3 beds · 1 bath
Welcome to our historic 19th century home two blocks from the historic downtown Prescott courthouse and the legendary Whiskey Row! The location speaks for itself, but we also strive to provide a “unique stay” experience. As you enter, you’ll walk into fin-du-siecle decor. The kitchen is more modern: it’s from the 1930s/mid-century. The lot is large for downtown Prescott, so we have many outdoor amenities including a WWI-era bench overlooking Thumb Butte, and an old chimenea.
The Space
We have a spacious master bedroom with a king bed, and in the “extra” room we provide a day bed and trundle. So our place is perfect for a family of four, although any four individuals could sleep comfortably. The extra bedroom is not actually a full bedroom because the bathroom access is through that room.
Please note that the home is HISTORIC. It is a contributing home in the South Prescott Original Townsite historic neighborhood. Treat it well and with care. That means it also doesn’t have some modern features you may have come to expect. There is no disposal or dishwasher in the kitchen. The original part of the home (the bedroom and living room) has solid wood exterior walls, which means no insulation. The house have no central HVAC system; instead, there are two very good splits systems (both heating and AC) in the house, and we provide space heaters elsewhere.
Guest Access
You will have full and complete access to the house. No shared spaces! The shed is not accessible to guests.
Other Things To Note
This is an old house so it tends to be more prone to heating and cooling by the elements. We were told it was built in 1906 but some records indicate the front rooms of the house could be as old as 1890-1895.
Please note there is a fire ban in effect, which means you’ll be unable to use the firepit.
